Snowy Owl Model Description and Animation Instructions Rigged and animated for Lightwave 8.5 and above, and 3DS MAX 2008 and above. Animated FBX files available for MAX 2017, MAX 2009, and Lightwave 2015. Geometry-driven model with fast rendering performance requires no additional plugins. Pre-animated scenes provided to facilitate initial use. Wings animated using three bones per wing section. Folding wings achieved through morph targets or manipulation of the wings' bone positions. Additional control over the model includes adjusting wing tip feathers, tail, and leg placement. The Root Bone is the primary control object in all configurations. Provided setup options include: - DBF-ZERO.lws (basic setup, no animation but fully rigged) - Several pre-animated scene files for getting started with animation DBF-FlyLoop.lws (flying loop scene) DBF-LandTakeOff.lws (landing and take-off scene) The feet are controlled by the LT-FootController and RT-FootController. Thirty-one Morph targets control different aspects of the model's appearance. Lightwave settings: - Control over mouth phonemes achieved through selecting mesh, going to Object > Properties, then "Deform". 3DS MAX Settings: - Controlling mouth phonemes in 3DS MAX involves going to Modify > Morph and choosing one from ten available targets. The wings have three bones controlling movement with 10 possible positions. The Tail's spread is controlled via a morph target named 'TailClosed'.
