Snowshoe Binding Reinforcement

Snowshoe Binding Reinforcement

Seattle Sports manufactured a snowshoe before discontinuing it; they sold their inventory to Amazon who resold them for under $50. And for good reason; the bindings break when exposed to cold temperatures - not great for a snowshoe. I thought I'd create a reinforcement to minimize breaking, so I used #10-32 x 5/8" zinc bolts with large washers on top and smaller ones on the bottom secured with Thread Lock Red to prevent the nuts from coming loose. I reinforced both feet to maintain the same height. I utilized 3DXTECH PETG + Carbon Fiber instead of PLA for reprinting, which lasted much longer. Print Settings: Printer: QU-BD Two Up Rafts: No Supports: No Infill: 100% Notes: ABS is better than PLA. I used CuraEngine with no additional Adhesion.
