Snowmobiles
thingiverse
I designed these vintage-style snowmobiles for a friend who needed them for their Christmas village. I printed the seat, track and backrest in black, while the bodies were colored blue and red. To assemble, insert the track into the bottom of the body, then click it into place by inserting the backrest. Since no glue is required, you're all set to display your snowmobiles right away! However, if the skis feel loose, you can add some glue for extra stability. Print settings were as follows: I printed them using my Printrbot Simple Black 3D printer with these specifications: rafts and supports turned off, a resolution of .3mm, and 20% infill. Since the design prints seamlessly upside-down without needing any support materials, all I had to do was set it up correctly on the printing platform. To finish my project, I first tidied up any loose debris from the printer, then slid the seat track into the body's lower compartment before fitting the backrest over the top and clicking it firmly into place.
