Snowman Phone Holder

Snowman Phone Holder

Finally, a snowman that will proudly display my phone at the perfect height! It's hard to believe this solution wasn't thought of sooner. I printed the body in clear pla because I was out of white material, so I used what I had on hand. The hat and arms were both printed in black since I didn't have enough brown left over. All parts were printed with 20% infill, and a brim was added to the body to prevent it from popping off the bed after just a few hours of printing. Cooling and other factors can be tricky to manage. I finished off the eyes, nose, scarf, mouth, and buttons using my 3d pen, which is both fun and challenging. To keep the phone from sliding off, I drew on a lip around the edge of the hat with the pen. At first, I wanted to use natural pla to resemble snow, but it didn't work out as well as I had hoped when used with the 3d pen, so I went with black instead. I'm definitely looking forward to doing more projects with my 3d pen in the future. I'd love to see your own creations - the "little kid art project" style of these snowmen is really appealing to me and a lot of fun! If you're interested in trying out a 3d pen for yourself, I'm using an RP100A model from Amazon, but there are other options available too.
