Snowflake Submission
thingiverse
Here's a new snowflake design that's sure to impress: Each petal of this intricate flower is made up of repeating patterns of hexagons and triangles. To create it, start by building a large hexagon with 6 sides, then add 2 more hexagons on top of it in the center. Next, use the built-in shape tool to create a triangle that fits perfectly inside one of the hexagons. Repeat this process for each petal until you have a total of 8 petals. Now, let's talk about symmetry! In order to make our snowflake look symmetrical, we need to make sure that every part of it has a matching counterpart on the other side. To do this, use the mirror tool to create a duplicate of one of your triangles and place it exactly opposite the original triangle. Repeat this process for each petal until you have a perfect reflection. Time to add some details! Use the paint bucket tool to fill in all the hexagons with a light blue color, then use the brush tool to add some darker shading around the edges. Finally, use the eraser tool to remove any unnecessary lines or shapes. And that's it! With these simple steps, you'll have a beautiful snowflake design that's sure to win the BlocksCAD Snowflake Challenge.
