Kenneth G. Libbrecht from Caltech shares breathtaking microphotos of snowflakes at SnowCrystals.com. One stunning image caught my eye; I downloaded it, removed the background, and transformed it into a height map using Cura's photo import feature. To avoid an extra layer, I set the background depth to 0 in the process. However, you still get one layer, so printing with a .1 cutoff or editing in Netfabb or Meshmixer is necessary. The ornament version was combined with a ring I designed in OpenSCAD - a simple task, so I only shared the STL file here.
