This 3DS Max 2014 scene features a snowflake that grows using particles in PFlow and Mesher modifiers. Each of its six petals, which consist of core and shell parts, has a unique time offset for the Mesher modifier. The petal generation utilizes PFlow with Script Operator, calculating particle size based on distance from plane models. Shell and core each have individual materials; textures can be added if desired, but UVs should be created first. An .obj sequence is included, weighing in at 4.5GB, which can be used in After Effects with Element3D or Cinema 4D. A video preview was made using After Effects and the Element3D plugin; an AE CC2015 project file is provided, requiring reimport of the .obj sequence. Only the complete final frame of the animation is included in the FBX format, while the full growth animation can be found within the .obj sequence.
