Snowflake Buttons
pinshape
I'm bursting with Christmas cheer already this year, even though Halloween hasn't arrived yet! I decided to be generous and share some holiday joy three months early by posting a STL file for printing a button shaped like a snowflake. The button itself can be resized in your slicer program to make it thicker if you prefer - I think doubling or tripling the default thickness of the 3D file would create a durable button. Just remember to scale it up enough so that your printer can create the small holes in the middle, as they might be too tiny otherwise; I personally use a 700% scale setting in Cura, but you may need to adjust the settings for your own printer. The snowflake design makes this button rather tricky to use as an actual button, so I'm planning on using it as a decorative element on my Halloween/Christmas costume - I'm dressing up as a Christmas elf this year! Sewing the button on: If you know how to sew, you'll need basic button sewing skills; if not, all you need is a needle and some thread. To attach the button, start from the front and run the needle through one of the small holes in the middle, then through the fabric behind it, and finally back again through another hole in the button - just keep alternating which hole you use each time to weave your thread through them at least twice.
With this file you will be able to print Snowflake Buttons with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Snowflake Buttons.
