Snowflake
thingiverse
Snowflake was created using BlocksCAD, which proved simple and fun to learn. The object is designed for hanging from a tree, window or any location - hence the inclusion of a torus for tying a string. A single print includes the snowflake itself, with supports/rafts needing to be enabled. I found BlocksCAD engaging, its smart implementation aligning well with other block coding softwares such as Scratch and Makeblock. The actual code is essentially one shape: a line and an X repeatedly rendered on both axes. A screenshot of the utilized blocks is included in this project, but I also appreciate that BlocksCAD allows opening other projects and remixing objects. Anyone interested should open the snowflakex.xml file in BlocksCAD to build upon what's been created.
With this file you will be able to print Snowflake with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Snowflake.
