SnowBlower Choke Knob

I'm trying to fix my snow blower, a Tecumseh 10 HP model. The issue is that the choke knob has come loose and I need to tighten it securely. To do this, I'll use a 1/4-20 hex nut, specifically designed for press-fitting onto the shaft. Then, I'll tap it with a 6-32 tap to ensure it's secure and won't come loose again while in operation.
