Snow Cone maker
thingiverse
This is a remix of the snowman maker by CloudJ. Instead of a snowman, it produces a replica of an ice cream cone in snow - thus a snow cone. I usually scale this to 50%. I was amazed at how well the original concept by CloudJ could produce objects in snow, so I wanted to try an object with finer details to see how it would fare. In addition to a different object being produced, I made some other changes to improve on the original concept. Instead of using pegs and peg holes, I use spheres and sphere indentations, which increases the durability of the print and also prevents snow from clogging the peg holes. By using a symmetrical design instead of the original, which had two distinct parts, this design uses a single piece that is printed twice. By keeping the mold open at the bottom, you can pack snow into the closed mold, producing a stronger object. Printer Settings: Printer: Migbot Prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2mm or 0.3mm Infill: 20% Notes: Print with the flat side on the print bed, shape facing away.
