Portable Snowboard Vise Setup for Racers and Travelers: A Simple, Lightweight Solution. This compact vise is perfect for on-the-go snowboard maintenance in hotel rooms or at the track. Just remember to use paper or a makeshift catchment system to contain shavings and wax, as this will help keep your staff happy. The design was inspired by my ski-based project, which can be modified upon request if needed. To set up, attach two table mounts using clamps, then drop in the snowboard sideways for easy access to the edges. This setup is ideal for minor sharpening and waxing tasks. For added stability, I recommend adding grippy rubber pads to the top of the vise. Old mousepads work well when flipped over and glued in place. As a temporary substitute, I used two skis to demonstrate the size.
