Snoopy!!! That's an interesting observation, though - the thing does have a rather earthy feel to it, doesn't it? I'm guessing that's why you're thinking brown-ish color would be the way to go. One thing that might be causing some problems with printing this object is its intricate design. It looks like there are some pretty fine details that could get lost in translation if the printer isn't set up just right. Have you tried adjusting the resolution or layer thickness to see if that makes a difference?
