Carved boulder on Snook Bank, north of Longframlington, Northumberland. This portable rock is known as 'Snook Bank 5f' on the Beckensall Archive and was added to ERA by NADRAP in 2008. NADRAP Team 2 describes: "Small portable rock with a surface that appears rough despite being flat when viewed at an angle. A cup, about 5 cm in diameter and 1 cm deep, is located at the center of two faint rings broken by a groove from a cup at the pointed end of the rock, with a larger cup on one side. The Beckensall Archive lists its location as within a burial mound, but it's now owned privately at Glantlees Farm. It may be the same cup and ring stone mentioned in Beckensall literature that was once located at the center of a dug-out mound, which can no longer be found. Linear scratches on the surface could be plough damage."
