Sno Brūm Ice Scraper Attachment
thingiverse
This is an ice scraper made to attach to the popular Snow Brūm snow removal tool: https://amzn.com/B0007LDXLA Its biggest weakness lies in its lack of a built-in scraper, which forces you to purchase something separate - a frustrating necessity. Designed to fit snugly over the telescoping pole's handle and accommodate the special triangular-holed cap, this scraper requires three zip ties for secure attachment during use. Print Settings: Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: Mini Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .25 Infill: 20% Notes: The scraper shown was printed at .4mm with a .5mm nozzle to accelerate the print and verify all dimensions fit. A low infill (hence the visible gaps on top) was also chosen. To achieve a smoother appearance, I would prefer to print with a smaller layer height (.25-.3mm), which would result in a less stepped bevel on the scraper. This is largely an aesthetic preference. Design and Slicing: This design was created using Fusion 360 and sliced with Cura (Lulzbot edition). Custom Section: Important note about filament type: If you plan to print this scraper and store it in your car, keep in mind that PLA can easily warp or melt at the temperatures reached in a confined vehicle. While this is less of an issue during colder months when using the scraper, consider where you will store it during the off season. I printed mine with Colorfabb nGen, which has proven to hold up better in heat than PLA. ABS would also be a viable option.
