# Snillrik TankBot 5002 ### It's important to have a number. :) I wanted to make a skidsteer, tank-type robot-platform of my own. There are quite a few out there, but this is mine. :) I had a couple of those common, small dc motors, often found in toys and cheep slot cars etc. and an ESP32 that I wanted to use. I also have an L298N to run the motors. I'll put some simple code for ESP32 up later, probably on GitHub, but it's basically a WiFi web socket type thing that can be controlled in different ways, I use the gamepad functions in Chrome. But you could of cource just set it up with some RC controll etc. This is still very much a work in progress, but it works well enough so that it might be a good base for others too. :) The holes is the same distance and size as Meccano so instead of the middle plate you can use that and add what you like. If you use the middle plate, there are both mounting holes for the L298N and 30.5x30.5 (like drone ESC:s and FC etc). I only use two motors in the front and have real ball bearings there and that works, but it might be a bit stronger if one would use 4 motors instead. :) I use 27 of the parts for each of the tracks, and that fits with the printed body. But they just snap together and the body can be built in different ways so just print as many as you need. :) ## Update I added a couple of parts for using brushless motors (like 220x from drones). Those files are called somethingsomething_brusless.
