Two versions of the Wall Awl exist for punching holes in drywall for Plastic Wall Anchors; one features changeable rings (Stoppers) that slide onto the tapered Awl to a distance determined by the Stopper's center hole. This limits the Awl to making a hole of a specific size, as dictated by the stopper. The second version is cast with a built-in stopper and designed for a single hole size. Both versions would be color-coded according to hole size, including 1/8", 3/16", 1/4", and 5/16".
