SNES Super Scope Wall Mount
thingiverse
I was looking for an alternative to my Super Scope sitting upright in the corner as it has been doing for years. There are some other nice options on Thingiverse, and SNESCUBE64's Super Scope Wall Mount Bracket particularly caught my attention. Upon further thought, though, it wasn't 100% what I had in mind. I wanted a way to hang up the Super Scope with just one bracket and prevent it from sliding around on the hanger. After playing around with finding its center of gravity both with and without batteries, it turned out that it needed support right around the thumb-hold. This made getting the dimensions correct a bit challenging, but it did accomplish my goals. I also decided to face the Super Scope's screw holes towards the wall rather than outward for aesthetic reasons, even though I use the sight installed on the opposite side. As an added touch, I gave it some curved surfaces as a matter of style and tried to keep non-functional volume to a minimum. It hangs with two #8 screws, 1" apart vertically, and I'm thinking about dressing it up a bit when the weather warms up by spraying it silver and adding some other embellishments. As it is, though, it's totally functional and I'm pretty happy with it.
