The Super Nintendo Entertainment System is officially abbreviated as the SNES or Super NES, and sometimes incorrectly shortened to Super Nintendo. This 16-bit home video game console was developed by Nintendo and released in Japan and South Korea in 1990, followed by North America in 1991, Europe and Australasia in 1992, and South America in 1993. In Japan, the system is known as the Super Famicom, or SFC for short, while in South Korea it's called the Super Comboy, distributed by Hyundai Electronics. Although each version of the console is essentially the same, regional lockout prevents different versions from being compatible with one another. The Super Nintendo Entertainment System was also released in Brazil on September 2, 1992, by Playtronic. Subscribe now to our channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JP7MvYwtNgs
