A concept has been swirling in my mind for quite some time now. As far back as I can remember, the first thing I wanted to bring to life was a sneaker - something that's readily available in everyday life. The fact that everything fell into place made me feel compelled to push my curiosity to its limits and experiment with different materials. In the original version, which I had hoped would be the final render, I wanted to do something meaningful despite feeling hopeless. Skechers D'Lites were the inspiration for this project, but it wasn't until the final stages that I realized the outlines were too obvious. At that point, a major problem arose: instead of losing the original shape, I ended up with a reproduction that was almost identical. It wasn't until the end that I understood my mistake - and by then, it was too late to go back. Fortunately, we believe this was actually a positive error on our part. The grid isn't perfect, but I gave it my best shot.
