Snark Tuner Exoskeleton
thingiverse
To repair a cracked ball joint on my tuner, I glued ABS parts together using acetone and let them harden overnight. After cutting off the old ball joint, I aligned the new one with the cup's cutout for side controls, snapped it in place, and attached the clip and stalk. This DIY fix was designed and created using Tinkercad (https://tinkercad.com/things/9rUeMMFvdFr). When using 1.75mm ABS filament on a Makerbot 2X, I suggest standard detail, 2 shells, 30% infill, a raft, and no supports. For extra strength, consider solvent polishing with acetone vapor at low temperature, but be cautious not to melt the tines on the ball joint.
