Snare mat (adjustable) for box drums

I needed an adjustable snare mat for my stomp box project, so I created one from scratch. I used threads and nuts from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:193647, which I simply imported into Tinkercad and designed around. The mat itself was made by cutting the A-string of an acoustic guitar into 10cm pieces, wrapping blue painters tape around each end, and then inserting them into the holes of a cylinder. To minimize support material, I decided to cut the cylinder in half. However, some supports are still required for the small square cavity designed into the seam where the two halves meet, which involves using a small tap and glue. This design can be adapted for any box drum (such as cajons) and feels free to experiment with string length. I suspect that longer strings than 10cm may produce a better sounding snare sound.
