Snapping USB support Phone holder

Snapping USB support Phone holder

thingiverse

This is a phone holder that I designed for my FIRST Tech Challenge robot, and it's been carefully crafted to prioritize two essential features: USB support and secure phone holding. The design allows the phone to snap into place with ease, inserting from the top and snapping in at the bottom. This arrangement provides optimal USB support on all sides. A right-angle phone plug is designed to be used, such as a CableCreation Degree-Micro Adapter Female or a Sanoxy Micro-Right-Angle Adapter, which can be inserted before being snapped into place with the latch. This design represents an improvement over my previous creation, the Moto G4 Play Phone mount with USB support. It provides added security for the right-angle connector and actively holds the phone in place without risking torsional loads during assembly, a problem that plagued its predecessor. This phone holder can be printed using either ABS or PLA, and it securely holds a Moto G4 play, making it ideal for Computer Vision tasks where a stable phone mount is necessary. Assembling this piece requires only a couple of M3 screws to hold the latch onto the phone holder body. **QUICK NOTE:** The clip for this piece was designed with flexibility in mind when using ABS plastic, which may be more prone to bending than PLA plastic. If you're using PLA plastic, you may need to file the nub slightly to get the piece to clip easily. This Phone Holder was designed by FTC team Robocracy 9773.
