This project aims to create low-cost attachments for a lower arm prosthesis that can be easily printed, removed, and cleaned in a dishwasher. Sugru is used as an attachment method for various attachments onto snap-on adaptors. Attachments such as combs, brushes, spoons, screwdrivers, cup holders, magnifying glasses, etc., can be customized based on the user's needs. Each attachment attaches to a female snap-on adaptor that snaps onto the male adaptor fixed to the arm prosthesis. A bin may suffice for some users, while others may require a more sophisticated attachment holder. The purpose of sugru is to allow final design adjustments and use few print files for various attachments, with the user potentially participating in the adjustment process. If time permitted, tapered adaptors could have been modified for easier insertion and stability. Polymorph was previously used as an alternative to sugru in another entry, which might be more suitable in some applications where heat is not a concern. The level cup attachment, originally designed for a contest, demonstrates how any snap-on adaptor can work without sugru, but it eliminates the need to design each part separately at the computer.
