Snapmaker Top Filament Guide
thingiverse
I designed a custom top filament guide for my Snapmaker printer, which is cleverly situated inside an acoustic cabinet with the filament spool positioned outside. This innovative design incorporates an M6 thread pneumatic coupler, ensuring seamless integration and efficient operation. I updated this module in July 2019 to include a critical feature: a PTFE tube holder strategically located at the top of the 3D print module. To secure it firmly in place, I employed super glue. This thoughtful addition enables me to create slack in the filament length when the print head is positioned at various locations, effectively preventing the filament from being pulled and causing unnecessary stress on the printer. The guide is specifically designed to accommodate a 4mm OD PTFE tube, providing a precise fit that ensures smooth operation and optimal performance.
