Snapmaker Filament Spool Stopper
thingiverse
I had a look at all the designs that other users came up with, and although most of them was very useful and creative, they all shared the same issue in my opinion - too complicated for a basic job! The biggest issue with the standard spool holder is that when the printer head moves to the opposite side of the X-axis at a high speed _(jogging, printing, doesn't matter)_, it tends to yank the spool off the holder. I designed this as a permanent workaround to the issue instead of a replacement of the existing components, and it works really well. I tested it with various spools to make sure it keeps the spool on the holder, but I cannot test for every size on the market. Download it, test it - if it works, great - if it doesn't, then you would have wasted a negligible amount of filament only. Please leave a comment if it needs some adjustment for a different spool size that it might not be compatible with in its current size.
