Snapmaker Filament mount
thingiverse
The standard filament roll holder is designed to be mounted on the side of the enclosure at the back. Given the bench size this already occupies, I thought it was a poor use of space, also having the roll at the back is hard to reach and difficult to load and swap easily. I designed this attachment to be easier to reach and quick to load. Having the roll alignment with the X axis travel minimises filament travel and reduces the flexing from roll to print head. The bracket is designed to be mounted to the T-track slots on the side rails using M5 bolts with a 3mm hex screw - this is what I had in my bits box. The snapmaker filament holder is held in place using the original screws with some locking nuts.
