Snapmaker 2.0 touchscreen door mount
thingiverse
Hi! First Upload! I have had my Snapmaker A250 for about a year and a half now and LOVE it - it meets all my needs in a multi-function machine, yet the handheld touchscreen has always been a bit of a hassle IMHO. I didn't like the limited options for placement, the cord sucks, and I always felt it was too crowded on one side of the machine. So - I changed the hand of the enclosure for my needs and machine placement and I decided to make a door mount to house the touchscreen that also blocks light for when the laser is in play. I also included a snap in cover, and the notch in the bottom of the mount is for the cord when the cover is in place so you can mount the handheld outside of the enclosure. The tolerances are tight, very bare bones when it comes to fillets and stuff, and they certainly are not perfect, but I needed something quick, functional and I wasn't concerned with aesthetics or perfection. I would definitely suggest using PLA, as I found PETG was too stiff and brittle for the tight fit. I also needed a little more cord length so I purchased a USB C extender to allow for movement of the door and a couple regular USB cords for the USB stick and direct PC connect. I may revisit this later and try to get it right, but I am quite busy at the moment and just don't have the time currently. It works for me and I hope it helps someone else!
