SnapLinks

I was really looking forward to getting this posted before Christmas. You can make your own tree decorations, customize your own personal jewelry, or create your own comfort critter. These snap-together pieces are simple spheres ready for use or customization in something like MeshMixer. These prints do not require supports. I used PLA for these, which gives a positive snap fit. ABS and PETG should work just as well. The parts are defined in imperial inches. The value in the file name is spherical size. If your slicer doesn't support imperial measurements, scale the part up 2540% to switch from inches to millimeters. There's very little interference between the parts. If a print is off slightly, it may not snap properly. Try a different piece or reprint any failed parts. Enjoy. Edit: I'll add some ready-to-print strings as I make them. Let me know in comments if you have a custom set you'd like assembled. I've marked this as In-Progress since I will be adding files. 12/16/18 - Added an octopus joint core. Incorporated a slightly stronger fit.
