SnapClaw - Multi-purpose clip
thingiverse
The versatile all-purpose clip attaches and detaches quickly, often with just one hand. Note: A relatively well-calibrated printer will be needed for this compact object due to its tight clearances. Print Settings Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 20% Notes: Two perimeter/shell layers work well, but if the claw tips break off, let the claws snap shut and increase the perimeter count. Custom Section Files to use: Print an A side and a B side; if the fit is too tight, use the loose versions. For scaling up, use the tight version. The tight version worked well at 150% and 200% scale, but larger sizes may be a bit loose. However, it should still function unless scaled beyond its limits. Assembly: Position the hole over the post with the claws in their fully open position. The clip's end with a hole/post has a small point that catches slightly during assembly – this is intentional, requiring only gentle force or wiggling to snap into place. While keeping the claw open, wrap a rubber band around its hooks. Ensure each loop of the rubber band has equal tension to prevent bunching as the claw closes.
