Adapter plate and stand for using 1.5mL snapcap microcentrifuge tubes with the Opentrons Magnetic Module gen 2. This was designed because our laboratory wanted to automate some protocols that use magnetic beads, but not at a 96 well plate level of throughput. By using a snapcap adapter, we can adapt these protocols to use common laboratory plastics with throughputs as low as 1 sample. This saves plastic expenses and waste.Also included is a model detailing the magnetic distribution on the module in case you'd like to design your own plate.Designed on Tinkercad.This adapter is currently being tested, updates coming after functional minipreps are completed.
