Snap-together polyhedron verticies
thingiverse
An updated script and set including 4, 5, and 6-sided facets can be found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4934 and http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5028. These triangular pieces allow the creation of various polyhedrons based on equilateral triangles, such as tetrahedra, octahedra, icosahedra, and more. The design resembles both faces and vertices, making the octahedron appear cube-like and the icosahedron, dodecahedron-like. As a tetrahedron is self-dual, it doesn't count. To assemble, print two copies of Y1 and Y2 for a tetrahedron, four for an octahedron, or ten for an icosahedron. Other shapes are also possible, including the C60 buckyball.
