To begin with the modifications, I altered the original design by incorporating a solid body and a flat base. Additionally, pin-based axles were implemented to minimize overhangs and enable support-free printing. However, I scaled down the model by 50%, while maintaining the size of the balloon inlet/outlet close to its original dimensions. An optional spare tire was also included. Upon printing, two issues arose. The car failed to roll smoothly as the axles, although freewheeling in air, gained excessive camber when placed on a surface. Only one or two wheels would spin at a time. Secondly, our stock of balloons was old and prone to bursting, affecting the thrust below their bursting point. Fortunately, this issue can be resolved by purchasing new balloons.
