Chess pieces and boards, that supports the popular chess variants in Asia. The pieces are double sided and has an easy push-fit assemble - similar to LEGO. The boards are built up like a jigsaw pussle. The storage boxes are reusing the board pieces as a lids. PRINT GUIDE - GENERAL For me, printing all of it was about one week of daytime only printing. 3 hours of assemble. And the plastic cost around 10$ for the pieces and 20$ for the boards. The models are not manifold and built up by multiple models. This is a problem for some slicers, like PRUSA. I recommend using Cura, which dont have any problems with this. (Merging the models is just too time consuming for me, sorry) PRINT GUIDE - PIECES Every piece are made up of three parts. A main side, a back side and a mid part. The back-side is normally a promoted piece with a crown. A few pieces can't be promoted, like the King, and will have a flat back. The pieces are in different scales, depending on importance. Look at the file name, and match the scale with the mid part. Example for knight: Files used are "knight_scale4", "knight_crown" and "mid_scale4". Printing the front and back: Raft and support are required for a good result. Use as thin layer lines as possible, this enhances the result a lot. The filament might jam at the end of the print, because of all the small detail. To avoid this you can print fewer pieces at a time, or put waste blocks together with the pieces. Printing the Mid: Does not really matter how you print them. If you can't get the underside to look good, use a raft. I recommend using a color that is darker than the rest of the piece. PRINT GUIDE - BOARD 0,15mm layer thickness. Use a brim. You can put a pause/color change at the top layers to make the lines stand out.
