Snap On SSD 418 Screwdriver Handle
thingiverse
I dropped my old Snap On SSD 418 screwdriver off the deck one day when the handle shattered. This 24-inch long screwdriver has been with me since I worked as a mechanic before college. It got a lot of use, so losing it was a big deal. Being a Snap On tool, it comes with a lifetime warranty. When I contacted Snap On, however, they told me it's obsolete and handles are no longer available. They replaced it with their latest model, but it's much longer and not as functional. Since I got my 3D printer, I decided to reclaim my old friend by making a new handle. My new handle is made from Nylon for its strength, durability, and impact resistance. Since I don't have the original to go by, I looked up some used ones on e-bay for the basic design. I made it as long as my CEL-Robox would allow me to print. It could stand to be a little longer, but it's close to the original size. Print Settings Printer Brand: CEL Printer: Robox Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: Normal Infill: 80% Notes: While Rafts and Supports were not necessary, I did use a wide Brim since it is rather tall and skinny.
