I designed a saddle with a 40mm connection and a plug initially. However, the hole was too small, and I continually searched for the plug. As I created the vacuum connector with a spring-loaded lid, I decided to combine these two designs. The resulting saddle is 60mm in size, matching the diameter of the vacuum connection. To assemble the system, drill a 50mm hole in your pipe and secure the saddle using PVC glue and a strap or thick rubber band. Once the glue has dried, you can remove the saddle. Initially, I designed the vacuum connector to use a torque spring, but I realized that they are difficult to find and often require ordering. As an alternative, I modified the design to accommodate a pull spring or rubber bands. When creating the connector, I first tried using a standard rubber band, but it proved too rigid. I now employ a soft handicraft foam with a thickness of 4.7mm. This is crucial: if you use a different thickness, the lid will not close properly. If your chosen material is thinner than 4.7mm, simply print a round disc to achieve the correct thickness. When assembling the system, avoid tightening the nuts too firmly; everything should move smoothly. To complete this project, you will need: 1. A M6 nut with nylon insert 2. A M6 x 40 bolt 3. Two M3 nuts with nylon inserts 4. A M3 x 30 bolt 5. Two springs measuring 4.76 x 34mm (or rubber bands as a substitute) 6. Foam or rubber with an exact thickness of 4.7mm 7.
