Dog hair, dust, and small debris can easily clog your extruder, potentially ruining a print. Seeking a more refined solution, I designed simple slotted cups but wanted something even better. So, I created this filter with precision-cut holes for added protection. It's designed to drop in a bit of oil if needed, printed as one seamless piece. The hinge should break free easily with minimal force. Timelapse: https://youtu.be/lVMvGldjXS0Pr... Printer: i300 Pro Rafts: None Supports: None Resolution: 0.16mm Infill: 10% Notes: Three shells, printed in 3DXTech's Red ASA. Printing two or more at a time helps the tab cool down properly. Post-Printing: I cut two kitchen sponge pieces (not cellulose-based) to fit snugly inside the case. Adding a few drops of high-smoke-point oil can help with PLA prints, though its effectiveness on other materials is uncertain. This design was created using Onshape, and it took about five print iterations to perfect it.
