Snap-On Dial Indicator Fan Mount
thingiverse
I couldn't find any mount that fit my particular fan duct setup (see [Ender 3/CR-10 FANG Lateral Cooler Remix](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3504842)), so I designed a custom mount for my dial indicator that snaps onto the stock 4010 hotend fan. It features a custom backplate, mounted in place of the original one, and integrated standoffs that allow the hotend fan to breathe during hot leveling while enabling the upper indicator stem to clear the fan duct. Flexible tabs ensure a tight fit for reproducible measurements. Printed in PLA in one piece without supports. ### Specifications - The backplate measures 52mm in outer diameter with a screw distance of 32mm. - Integrated standoffs measure 9mm. - Three tabs overlap the fan outline by 1.5mm each, snapping on easily if you hook in the upper and right tabs first and then push on the lower left corner. In the configuration shown in the photos, the measurement point sits 51mm in front of the nozzle center.
