You can watch a video on how it works if you check out the "Thing Files" tab above - just click open with VLC. The holder is made to connect cheap Chinese dial gauges like this one at http://www.ebay.com/itm/191381928182?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%253AMEBIDX%253AIT to the extruder, achieving a very accurate bed leveling in no time without any electronics. Once you add the mount, the dial gauge can be easily removed and added within seconds by simply pressing it inside - no screwdriver needed. This makes it so the holder doesn't add much weight to the extruder while printing. The holder itself is screwed onto the extruder with two long M3 screws and stays there, weighing very little. I've printed mine in PETG at 0.3mm layer height with 30% honeycomb infill and it works like a charm. Of course no support is necessary for printing.
