Snap-On Analog Stick Caps for Xbox One controllers
thingiverse
So I was looking for a replacement cap for my controller when playing Street Fighter, and stumbled across an interesting build from printables. [ https://www.printables.com/en/model/511920-8bitdo-xbox-joystick-caps-protectors ] Unfortunately, it seemed like i would have to glue these on for them not to fall off, so I added a little bezel to keep them in place. Now I can wakeup dragon punch with peace of mind. I printed this on a MP Cadet 2. The default "R" file is for a stick whose cap still has the rubber protector it came with. If your stick isn't damaged, this is probably what you want. The shorter "L" file is for sticks without their rubber protector. This cover is significantly thinner, allowing it to stay in place. With that said, it will still be prone to rotation due to lack of friction from the rubber, so keep that in mind if it's something that may bother you. I don't own any Dualshock controllers anymore, so I don't have the proportions, but anyone is welcome to customize the proportions as needed. If, I do get my hands on one, I'll update the post. Additionally, you are free to use the included Blender file to customize as desired. Just delete the existing text mesh and replace the cap's "Boolean" object target to whatever you want engraved. Credit once again to [ https://www.printables.com/en/model/511920-8bitdo-xbox-joystick-caps-protectors ] for the original design.
