If you want just the thing, skip the wall of text and go to Print Settings for details :) In my search for the best way of making my Ender 3 V2 smaller and not wanting to walk the already beaten path, I begun my chase for the best ideas that i could use like they were or that i could adapt to my needs. I really wanted to change the spool holder position to the back-right side of the chassis, out of the way, where no wires or stuff could interfere with it and where it would take up a minimum amount of space. For this to work i needed a way to overcome the long and difficult filament feed, or at least to make it smoother, so i needed a short filament guide with bearings. By combining two great ideas, i came up with this and remixed them on Tinkercad. Have mercy, it's my first remix :) The shortest and best looking upper filament guide i could find was already great and i've used it for a while, kudos to 3DIgor for https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4882287 The best filament guide to directly feed the extruder also included a 3D printed bearing that uses 6mm airsoft BBs, exactly what i was looking for, kudos for the awesome creation to DanTech: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3666739 I still have a lot of work to do for this project, but check out the pictures for what i did so far. Mods i've used: Moved the screen for a more compact look, thanks to the great idea from Everlanders: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4746101 - Ender 3 V2 Compact Screen Mount Spacer Covered the V-slots using the easy to print and easy to snap-on covers from SciFiCreator: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4641897 I wanted to stop touching the build plate with my greasy fingers and the Minimalistic Ender Handle by Ascardia hit the sweet spot, you don't even need to unscrew anything: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4699238/ - i've used the 8.45x75.2mm.stl and it's perfect. Used the Ender 3 v2 Belt Tension Knob Covers from K2DesignLab for a rugged look: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5175434 Covered the QR Code with a sweet looking cover from Bastrym: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4012224 Made the filament roll move smoothly with the spool roll holder addon bearings from kyNam, again using 6mm airsoft BBs: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3631887 To make sure the roll won't fall off, i added a couple of spacers that snap on the original Creality roll holder and a stopper made by me in Tinkercad, that i will add soon. And let's not forget about the Ender 3 - Aperture science Knob (portal) from djpostka, it needed a resizing to 70-80% to fit on my V2, but it looks great: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3625462 Welp, that's it for now, if you liked my remix and my story you can even get me a coffee using the "Tip designer" button :)
