Snap In protection cover for JMC Servo- or Stepper motors
thingiverse
In my latest update from my root3 milling machine, I've swapped out the NEMA 23 stepper motor for a 180-watt servo motor. The old motor was protected and connected with GX16 plugs. Check out this design on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2481149. I liked it so much that I started looking for something similar to adapt to my new servo motor. Unfortunately, what I found wasn't ideal, so I created a simple screwless protection box that's easy to print. UPDATE 19.04.2020 Now I have a new part for the cable entry: you can choose between two options - PG7 fitting or GX12 7-pin connector. Be warned: the connector is quite fiddly. If you prefer an easier option, go with the PG7.
