Snap-in Filament Spool Holder

Snap-in Filament Spool Holder

My contribution to the vast collection of spool-holding accessories is a custom design tailored specifically for the spools I had on hand with a 53mm hole. The primary goal was to test the flexibility of PLA parts, and I'm pleased to report that this accessory has exceeded my expectations in terms of durability. Despite printing it at just 50% fill, the wall thickness is surprisingly robust, rendering the infill percentage virtually irrelevant. To facilitate further modifications or customization, I've included a Solidworks (2013) file in the attachment. Feel free to use this as a starting point for your own design. When removing the spool holder from the build plate, exercise extreme caution, as it's surprisingly easy to snap off the fingers. To avoid this issue, carefully pry the accessory from the bottom rather than applying stress to the sides. Here are my print settings: Printer: MicroMake Delta Mini (Ebay) Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 50%
