Snap-Fit Fan Duct (Remix) for Centrifugal Fan
thingiverse
The snap-fit design fits perfectly, but I tweaked it to suit my printers better. To replicate the original snap-fit part of the .stl model, I used DesignSpark Mechanical. The customized design has three distinct parts (see .rsdoc file or attached picture) for easier modifications. Printed without supports is essential; the print requires a lot of cooling and a slower print speed than normal to avoid issues. You might need some post-processing as well. Achieving a precise Z-offset on the print can be beneficial, especially when the first few layers don't adhere properly to the bed. I've also created an alternative version with a 10 mm shorter duct and a thinner bottom to make it easier to print. It's designed to complement this model: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:147705. Two versions of this are available – one is rotated 180 degrees for additional flexibility.
