SnakeyWakey CTC i3 Z-Axis Linkage
thingiverse
Not convinced about this yet, it prints just fine and seems to work alright, but whether it's a worthwhile improvement over my previous coupler is still up for debate. The main goal behind the design was to reduce stress on the coupler and the threaded rod in situations where the rods aren't perfectly straight. If you give this a try, I'd really appreciate hearing your thoughts - is it any good or not? For me personally, I've noticed a smoother z-axis performance when using this design, but that's based solely on one side so far; I'll print out the other side later with the first side installed and we'll see how it stacks up. Each part requires an M3 nut to be placed in the recess on the base, while an M3 bolt holds the nut in place and applies pressure against either the motor shaft or the thin section of the threaded rod. The two parts of the linkage are connected by threading an M2 bolt through the hole in the tines.
