I wanted to figure out how to design a shape in OpenSCAD that has trapped hinges like those used in LeFabShop's Elephant, available on Thingiverse under thing ID 257911. To do this, I considered using a single part that could be rotated and translated to print multiple sections. The corresponding OpenSCAD file has been structured with three main parts. Printer Settings Brand of the printer: Printrbot Name of the printer model: Simple Black Use rafts during printing: It's not necessary Print supports: Yes Printing resolution: 0.2 millimeters Level of infill for interior material: Ten percent
