Snake (Pipe) Cam Corner Mount
thingiverse
Now I can clearly see what I'm printing without squinting thanks to the design of a mount for a snake camera (pipe inspection USB camera) fitted perfectly onto a corner mount of my Printrbot Simple Metal. The Printrbot corner mount can be accessed by visiting https://www.youmagine.com/designs/printrbot-simple-corner-accessory-mount-drop-in, which shows how to design the base unit with a 6.5mm hole to fit a 1/4" bolt accurately. Additionally, this layout is designed for two axes of swivel motion, allowing you to adjust it freely while working. However, make sure that a M3 (3mm diameter) screw is used to clamp the top arm firmly. I must note that there are some specifics to keep in mind when using the camera mount. Due to its snug design, you may need to sand the hole open depending on your printer model. Furthermore, since it is a single loop design, make sure to check for any free play in the loop to ensure that the camera is securely held in place. Fortunately, I was able to successfully get this camera working seamlessly on my MacBook with OS X and FaceTime without requiring any drivers whatsoever.
