As a child, I owned a wooden snake with cutouts for flexibility. Inspired, I printed a similar model in PLA, but found it stiff; a more flexible material would be ideal. To fit my Makerbot, the snake was short and chubby, yet could be longer without issue. Future designs may include a modular version or one for larger printers. The STL file has minor edge irregularities in the nose, but printing is unaffected. Dimensions: 80.2mm x 80.2mm x 11.3mm tall (diagonally, about 110mm long). Update: an alternative model, SnakeThin.STL, features a thinner core for increased flexibility; Skeinforge challenges led to slight size increase. SnakeThin dimensions: 84mm x 84mm x 11.7mm tall.
