Snake Necklace

This project showcases a pair of students' avant-garde approach to jewelry design. Their assignment was to push the boundaries of conventional jewelry-making, resulting in a unique piece titled "copperheads". Each snake is composed of distinct segments - head, tail, and body - allowing for endless customization in terms of length. The foundation of each snake lies in 14 Ga. steel wire, which serves as the core structure. To add visual interest, spray paint, twisted copper wire, and hammered pennies were skillfully incorporated into the design. In a more elaborate version, the necklace features an intricate blend of twisted copper wire, chain, and glass rocks. The students leveraged digital tools such as Tinkercad and Sculptris to craft the models with precision and creativity.
