Snake Cube Puzzle

Enjoy assembling this 3x3 Snake Cube puzzle, produced using a 3D printer! Please resist the temptation to cheat while solving it; remember that a misplaced block might significantly prolong the solution time. Have fun! To create the puzzle, you can either print individual blocks or two sets of plate1 and plate2. If you choose the latter option, there will be three extra blocks. For an eye-catching checkerboard appearance, print plate1 and plate2 in different colors. Note that after printing, you may need to drill through the holes using a handheld drill. The entire block printing process took approximately 12 hours on my ToM printer. Although hollowing out the blocks reduces plastic usage, it does not save printing time. I used one extra loop and 100% fill on SF for optimal strength. To assemble the snake, thread the blocks onto elastic cord or stretchy string in the order depicted in the snake diagram. Secure each end with super glue to prevent loosening. Ensure that the elastic is pulled taut along the entire snake, with just enough movement for necessary block flipping.
